Helsinki Finnish Adult Education Centre

The Helsinki Finnish Adult Education Centre Työväenopisto – or Työvis for short – offers courses and hobbies for all enthusiastic learners. It is a great place to meet new people and join a new community.

We organise annually more than 5,400 inspiring courses and about 300 lectures. Affordable prices and free lectures and events allow everyone to participate. The locations are easily accessible by public transport.

Mon 10 Aug: Visual Arts, Digital Skills
Tue 11 Aug: People, Society, Culture; Literature, Theatre, Native Language; Home Economics, Nature and Environment, Technology and Transport
Wed 12 Aug: Languages, Finnish as a second language (S2)
Thu 13 Aug: Sports and Dance, Wellbeing and Health Fri 14 Aug: Crafts, Music

Autumn term 7 Sept–11 Dec 2026. Autumn break 12–18 Oct 2026.
